Looking back on our guests since 2011

Greg Ayres (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017)

Greg Ayres (Deadman Wonderland, Ouran High School Host Club) is the gold medal winner in ANIMAINE attendance. He's one of our favorite people and he's been a huge part of the convention since its inception.

Greg was unable to attend our 2018 show, the first ANIMAINE he has ever missed. He sent his love to our attendees via video.

Terri Doty (2011, 2012, 2015, Bangor 2016)

Terri Doty (RIN; Daughters of Mnemosyne, Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts) came to visit ANIMAINE in our first year back when we were but a seedling. Now that we're, uh, a slightly older seedling, she came to celebrate our fifth show and then the inaugural Bangor show in 2016.

David Williams (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016)

David Williams (D.N. Angel, Najica Blitz Tactics) is a veteran of the anime industry whose first credited con appearance was back in 2000. He came to us in 2011 and didn't miss a year since except for in 2015 when he missed a year.

Scott A. Melzer (2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018)

Scott A. Melzer (This is Otakudom, S.T.E.A.M.) is a real fan's fan. He's been to the show four times and he always brings some great AMVs, fan parodies, and wacky content that we just couldn't get from anyone else.

The Asterplace (2012)

Our one and only musical artist appearance to date, The Asterplace rocked a live show at ANIMAINE 2012.

Tiffany Grant (2013)

Tiffany Grant (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Little Busters) graced us with her presence for the 2013 show, and we have the signed Asuka posters to prove it.

Tia Ballard (2014)

Southern belle Tia Ballard (One Piece, Rosario+Vampire) discovered yankee charm when she came to our 2014 show. Yankee charm and lobsters.

Katherine Zan (2014)

Katherine Zan was our first ever cosplay guest; Zan was also Viz Media's official Sailor Moon cosplayer.

Stephen Hoff (2015)

Audio engineer Stephen Hoff (Black Butler, Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone) helped expand our guest horizons even further when he joined us in 2015.

Monica Rial (2015)

Monica Rial (Dragonball Z Kai, Ouran High School Host Club) came to town in 2015 and town has not been the same since.

Arthur Babinsky (Bangor 2016)

Arthur Babinsky, an original founder of what is now Animaine Inc., was an official guest for our Bangor show.

Adam Crowley (Bangor 2016)

Educator Adam Crowley enlightened the ANIMAINE Bangor 2016 audience with an academic approach to video games.

Carrie Keranen (2016)

Carrie Keranen (Yu-Gi-Oh, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir) became our first west coast guest when she visited in 2016.

Anthony Bowling (2017)

Voice Actor Anthony Bowling (The Devil is a Part-Timer) joined us for the first time in 2017.

Jeremy Inman (2017)

Jeremy Inman (Dragon Ball Z) joined us for the first time in 2017.

Cowbutt Crunchies (2017)

Cosplay duo Cowbutt Crunchies joined us for the first time in 2017.

Wendy Powell (2018)

Wendy Powell (Fullmetal Alchemist, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!) graced us with her charm for the first time in 2018.

Em Sauter (2018)

Em Sauter (Pints and Panels) joined us as our very first ever cartoonist guest in 2018. Her unique panels were a big draw.

Jeff Kline (2018)

Producer and writer Jeff Kline (Woody Woodpecker, Men in Black: The Animated Series) brought his publishing company Darby Pop to ANIMAINE in 2018 and shared his unique insights into the creative industry.

Caitlynn French (2018)

Caitlynn French (No Game No Life, Hanayamata) came to town in 2018. We were excited to bring Caitlynn, a voice actress with a ton of credits, to Maine and show her a lighthouse. Lighthouses are our thing.
